Cousin&Co. PhotoShoot

SO back in September I had the oppurtunity to work on a photo shoot for a growing handbag company started by 2 cousins from Brooklyn. Their bags are Gorgeous! But a little on the pricey side haha. Anyways the shoot was done right next to the Brooklyn Bridge in a beautiful park (sorry dont know the name). The theme they had going was a Girl went on a trip to Paris and met a Boy. I did 2 different looks and a lip color change. It was sooo much fun to shoot and the models were great. This was a great learning experience on my journey to becoming the best makeup artist I can be. Enjoy these pics.

OMG I am Seriously slacking on my blog! MONTHS of goodness has passed me by... So many changes since my last post. I will coming back hard.... at least I will try to...

Matte Nails

So the matte nail trend has been around for a while now, but I am just now jumping on the wagon. Matte nail polish is basically a dull/no shine/flat finish. OPI, Essie and Orly are the only brands that I am aware of that have these types of polish. I love the look of the polish! I purchased Orly's Matte Top for about $6.50, which transforms any regular nail polish to a matte finish. I also have Orly's Matte Nail Polish in Blue Suede (pictured above). The great thing about these is that it drys quickly. The downside is the finish lasts about 3 days. When you use Lotions and Oils it starts to settle into the polish, but not until the 3rd day will you really see it. I did my nails with a glossy tip by using a clear polish on to make them shine. I was inspired by a youtuber who duplicated the look Kim Kardashian blogged about months ago. So if you are up for trying something new on your nails def try the Matte look. I know the accent nails is what everyone is doing now... you know the ring finger a different color then the rest. But why be like everyone else... that's my logic = )

Umm... I made a bLoG!?!!

Soo I am starting this blog to have an outlet for my thoughts and questions and basically whatevers on my mind...

I guess I should say a little bit about myself. Well.. Im a New Yorker born and raised!! I love my state and everything it stands for. I love the city life... im all for it! Haha. The culture is like nothing in the world. The true melting pot of the U.S.A. Its diversity is what makes it the place to be. You can have anything in NYC =]

Now about my obsession... hahaa. Well I am mildly obsessed with MAKE-UP! Can you see my enthusiasm? Well i really do take it seriously i am starting a Freelance "business" providing Make-up and Hair services. Allure Styles is my pre-mature baby hahaa. I have the business card... have most of my kit set-up... and i def have the drive. But who says u cant try harder... which i plan to do soon.

My passion was always instilled in me...as a young girl I would take ALL my Moms makeup out and the sweet Mother that she is she let me apply make up to her. Not to say that it was any good but I always found makeup fascinating. Then in High school I majored in Cosmetology and got my License. There I was taught more about hair then anything. And Makeup is more of a skill in my opinion. I think some have it and some dont. I think im a natural. Its an Art. They don't call us Artists for nothing. Trusst! I would say my skill level is intermediate. I think in this line of work there is no way you can be a complete MASTER. There are so many new things coming out you must always stay on top of the latest Trends. SO there is no END in the Knowledge you can get.


I plan to post on subjects Celebs, Clothes, Beauty Products, Music and blah blah blah.

We'll see how this blogging thing goes. Hahaa
